Practice Your Note-Taking Skills
Feeling pretty confidant about note-taking? Use the exercises and space on this page to practice on your own, using texts that you choose. You can use one of the example texts, or select one of your own. Just make sure to include a citation and, if possible, a link to the text. When you're feeling good about the notes you've taken or just want a little feedback, click the "Submit" button to send your notes to your teacher directly.
Before you get started, pick the text you want to use for your practice. It can be a written, spoken, or visual text. It can be formal or informal, academic or not, fiction or nonfiction. There are no rules, so pick something that interests you. Not sure what text to choose? Select one of the sample texts linked to from the image at right, or use them as a starting place for other ideas.
